## CAT parts by engine reference

The examples below cover bearings for 3126/3116, a cylinder head for 3408, a piston for 3114/3116 and an oil pump for C7. Caterpillar and CAT refer to the same brand here. These separate records do not establish coverage of every engine variant or form one rebuild kit.

## Separate machine and engine identification

Send the equipment model and serial number alongside the engine model, engine serial number and existing part reference. Include readable plates and casting marks when available. A machine designation alone does not identify the installed engine or each component.

## Specify bearing sizes and assembly contents

For bearing CR-18000-00, confirm its position, journal size and quantity before ordering. For the 3408 head, define bare head or required assembly components. Specify rings, pin and clips for the piston; check drive and oil passages for the C7 pump. Availability and contents are confirmed in the quotation.
